What's a Model Property?

A model property is a representation of your property scaled down into a detailed diorama. With today's aerial photo technology and topography maps, we are able to locate and represent your property in a miniature version. Modeling your property provides you and your hunting buddies a realistic tool that lends itself to being a centerpiece to discuss game movement, stand locations, and travel routes. It really provides a wonderful sense of direction in a very visual manner. Not only is this a great tool for planning hunts or debriefing post hunts, but it's just overall captivating to look at.

A vast amount of time and detail goes into these models, which leaves you with multiple decisions to make; this is your model so take the time to tell us what you want out of it. You will have the option of which season you prefer your ground to be modeled, fall seems to be the most prevalent desire. We will label or layout your lodges, stand locations, roads, trails, bedding areas, food plots, and landmarks as you wish. We include a general repair kit, so if any accidents occur or maybe if there are any changes you would like to make yourself you will have the option to.

These models can be built to hang on the wall, sit on a table, or built into a table. We have a working relationship with the Amish community and can get quotes for you on inlaid tables. A lot of time and detail goes into creating these models, which means weeks sometimes months of work depending on the size and variation of the property. It's a first come, first serve basis, so delivery dates vary based on backlog. 

What's required to have a model built?

We require that you point out your property on Terraserver so we can have an accurate location and define the borders of your property. It will be of great value if you include some digital pictures of your property to insure accuracy of certain scale and other aspects. Aerials and topography maps have limitations, a good set of pictures will help to define the draws, ridges, various elevation changes that have so much to do with deer movement as we would prefer to be as as accurate as possible. The more accurate we can be the better the tool is for the hunt.

We require a 50% non refundable down payment and the remaining 50% upon completion of the model. Prices do not include shipping charges. Prices may be subject to change upon specific detail requests. Each model is framed in one inch Oak (unless otherwise specified) suitable to support a glass top. We do not ship glass. Wall mounted units will be routed for glass. Pricing is based by the size you specify the model to be. We recommend a model to be around 15-20sq feet, based on the layout of your property of course. Some properties are limited as to how small we can scale them down. Long narrow properties make great bar tops! If you have a lodge and want this to be a center piece, a larger product may be desired and is certainly attainable; it just becomes a bit more of an ordeal getting it to it's final destination. These are the things that take communication and negotiations.

Cost

Base Pricing- $100.00 a square foot

10sq ft = $1,000.00         15sq ft= $1,500.00          20sq ft= $2,000.00         25 sq ft = $2,500.00      etc....

Keep in mind I have an average of 125+ hours in every 15sq ft of modeling.

There are multiple ways to find your property on Google Earth or Terraserver. You can either type in the address, coordinates, or zoom down until you find it. I need the Coordinates of each corner of your property. They are available when you find your property, you simply place the cursor on each corner and copy the Latitude/Longitude in Degrees, Mins, and Secs. If there are more than four corners to your property I will ask you to sketch the shape of your property in the Paint application and label each corner.
